Magnetoelectric Polymer-based materials for sensor/actuator applications
Magnetoelectric (ME) materials have been an important topic of research due to their great potential in scientific and technological applications. In particular, ME polymer-based composites present attractive characteristics, such as flexibility, light-weight, low-cost and scalable potential, which makes them suitable for the development of electronic devices. My project aims to develop magnetoelectric polymer-based composite materials through the embedment of anisotropic magnetostrictive nanoparticles on piezoelectric polymers. The final purpose is to use these smart materials to print on the development of technological devices such as magnetic sensors or actuators.
